Q. Is there an age limit for tandem jumps?
A. 18 years of age minimum, no maximum.

Q. Is there a height/weight limit for tandem jumps?
A. 200 pounds is our general weight limit but weather conditions sometimes allow for exceptions. Height is usually not an issue. There are two reasons for the weight restriction. First, the parachute has a weight limit so we must consider the combined weight of the instructor, passenger, and gear. Second, we want to provide our passengers with the softest of landings. The more weight we have under a parachute the faster the landing. On a very hot day with little to no wind we must be more cautious. Wind and cooler air help tremendously. Our goal is to offer fun and excitement but above all, see that nobody gets hurt.

Q. How long is the freefall?
A. On a tandem jump we open the parachute at 5k feet (almost 1 mile above ground). From an exit altitude of 10k feet above ground, this gives us approximately 35 seconds of freefall; the actual time varies slightly (just a few seconds) depending on exit weight, gear, and air temperature. When the big plane is in town freefall is around 60 seconds!

Q. Do you offer any discounts?
A. Yes.

  1. Check our prices for current specials.
  2. We offer group discounts. The larger the group, the more efficiently and smoothly we can crank out the jumps for you. We pass these savings on to you. Bring it on -- we love barbeques!

Q. Will my friends and family be able to watch?
A. Absolutely! Bring an army, some blankets, and chairs. Tailgates make great seating as well! With average eyesight a tandem jump can be viewed with the naked eye from exit to landing. While binoculars and strong telephoto lenses can bring the action closer, it is difficult to find the jumpers in the frame. We do offer professional freefall video for an additional price.

Q. How long will it take?
A. Watching the video and signing the waiver usually takes around 20 minutes. Suiting up and getting our parachutes ready can also take around 20 minutes. However, the instructors are busy packing parachutes while the video and waivers are under way, so that often we are ready as soon as our passengers. The plane ride takes another 30 minutes. Once at altitude you will be safely back on the ground within 5 minutes.

Q. What should I wear?
A. Dress comfortably. Jeans, t-shirt, and comfortable shoes -- preferably lace-up tennis shoes. Let us know if you wear contacts, and we can accomodate you. In the summer it gets very warm on the ground and in the plane. You may simply jump in jeans but we recommend an old pair so as not to put grass stains on a perfectly good pair of Lucky's. In the cooler seasons -- between October and April, it is a good idea to bring a sweatshirt. We do in fact jump during the months of Nov, Dec, and Jan, but it is very cold. During these months we suggest thermals, gloves, and something for the ears.
